All your teen needs to do is wear their aligners for around 22 hours a day and overnight. This gently and gradually moves their teeth into new positions. Invisalign Teen often features wear indicators to help.

Invisalign Teen is a really smart way to straighten teeth for young people, offering a modern alternative to traditional braces. Instead of metal, it uses a series of completely clear, tailor-made plastic aligners. You simply pop in a new set of these aligners about once a week, and they gently guide your teeth into the correct position, step by step. They’re so discreet, most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them!
Invisalign Teen has a few clever features designed specifically with teenagers in mind. You’ll find tiny blue indicators on the aligners, which gradually fade with wear, helping you (and us!) confirm you’re wearing them for the recommended 20-22 hours a day. Plus, because we know life can be busy, Invisalign Teen typically includes a few complimentary replacement aligners, just in case one goes astray!
When you switch to a new set of aligners, you might feel a sensation of gentle pressure or a mild ache for a day or two. This is completely normal and simply means the aligners are actively moving your teeth! Most teenagers find Invisalign aligners to be much more comfortable than traditional braces, as there are no sharp wires or brackets to cause irritation. Any discomfort is usually temporary.
The duration of your Invisalign Teen journey will be unique to you, depending on the complexity of your tooth movements and how consistently you wear your aligners. Generally, treatment can range from around 6 to 18 months. We’ll give you a more precise estimate tailored to your individual needs when you come in for your assessment.
